Sierra Club Maine Political Program

The principal goals of the Sierra Club Maine’s political program are:

  1. To help elect state and national candidates who will support and promote environmental protection.
  2. To inform the public about candidates’ environmental positions and voting records.
  3. To encourage Club members and other environmentalists to participate in the political process.
  4. To strengthen the Sierra Club's capacity to elect pro-environment candidates at every level of government; and
  5. To encourage concerned citizens to volunteer for endorsed campaigns.
